THE FIRST IN THE SERIES OF AVENGERS GOWNS!

so here’s thor and captain america as evening wear. of all my designs, thor’s is maybe one of the furthest from his actual costume, but it’s one of my favorite. the cape is a supposed to be a sheer material. i really wanted a better way to incorporate the hammer, but the clutch is as close as i’m getting this time round.

the cap’ns outfit was really fun, as i am absolutely in love with styles from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. (of course, 40's is his era, but 50's is my favorite, thus the more classic 50's look. XD) i maaay have overdone it on the stars, but whocaresilovestars. his mask was translated into the fascinator oh her head, and his shield of course into her clutch.

about this series, i'd really like to do all 6 avengers from the movie as well as fury, loki, and possibly a couple of other characters. so far, i have sketches for all the avengers.

This picture is absolutely amazing. Hoping at some point to make the Thor dress (already have it semi planned in my head) and now I have seen Hill's dress I'm tempted by that too. Just wanted to ask, you said the cape is meant to be a sheer fabric, by this do you mean like chiffon/organza? Also what fabric were you thinking for the main dress? Also sounds really odd but what kind of shoes do you imagine to go with the Thor dress (I'm a bit OCD when it comes to costumes and like to have everything right even if you can't see it)

Well I did it!! I wore my evening gown Thor dress to NYCCC this past weekend. It's not as amazing as your artwork, but it turned out pretty good. how can I send you a photo?
